**** THIS IS ME ****

The mole-bombarded girl with weary yet bright eyes in the mirror is looking at me. She is confused most of the time- troubled about how she is leading her life in contrast to how she’s supposed to. Concocting life philosophies and singing seem to be her enduring hobbies.

She never stops thinking. But her feelings almost always displace her thoughts. Her life is much like a blooming flower bombarded with thorns. Yet, she stubbornly persists to grip it tightly. She doesn’t want to lose her way, but almost always does. She almost always slips and falls- both literally and figuratively, and whenever she does, she starts laughing and insists to stand up though her knees are aching.

Giving up is not in her to-do list. Childish, they say, stubborn they call her- those define her really. When you’re around her, look forward to be shouted at or cursed upon, if not totally beaten up for she has adapted some sadistic qualities from her collection of psycho-thriller novels. Note that when she causes you pain, she doesn’t mean it; or it may be for your own real good. When going out with her, expect to find a book in her bag rather than a pile of make-up or a hanky.

She is not one who extends her hand on first meetings. Her smiles are rather occasional as well, if she’s not with people whom she adores.

If she treats you in an odd combination of rudeness and sweetness, then she considers you as her friend. She wants to do lots of things all at the same time and impatience often embraces her since she is almost certain that she’ll die at the age of thirty. Sadly, she is almost always late- for almost everything.

She loves kids and she dreams to help a lot of them the day after she has successfully helped herself. She loves to laugh and she is currently, and will probably always be, in the quest of finding the grandest level of happiness. She hopes that God will stay with her no matter what.

Real Leaf Paparazzi

I have never been a fan of sodas. Nor did I ever engage in a one-night spree with beer or vodka. Instead, I have always loved ice-cold tea. Drinking tea is a habit I’ve developed since I was in college and my ‘tea-addictivity’ has never wavered since. I’ve patiently put up with teabags for years but fortunately, bottled-up teas are now available and distributed in heaps. These days, I’m much fond of Nestea’s Real Leaf Tea and I share this fondness with my two closest “allies” – my partner in life and my younger brother. W hat follows is our one big atte mpt to encourage more people to engage in our quest for a Real Life with Coca Cola’s Real Le af tea (and of course, an attempt to get a prize from Nuffnang's exciting contest- Real Leaf Paparazzi!)… This is the typical “Juan” trying to have a Real Life. With the help of the Real Leaf tea, my brother 'John' tries to stay 100% on. He tries to relieve the exhaustion, stress, and anxiety brought by… (a) a hard day’s work as a n...

Project ALL-TIME: The iPop

The All-Time Dilemma Tardiness. Delays. Lost opportunities. I'm pretty sure everybody has experienced these things just by not being at the right place at the right time. Such wouldn't happen if we can teleport. If we could just pop out anywhere we want to, then we wouldn't miss out on important events just because of congested roads and punctuality issues of public transportation. We can go wherever we want without worrying about flight reservations, car maintenance, and sky-high transportation fares. Moreover, we will no longer be bothered by the fact that... A pedestrian is injured in a traffic accident every eight minutes, An estimated 1.3 million people die on our roads each year, About 1,600 aviation accidents causing about 600 deaths happen yearly, About 10, 200 people get injured inside elevators every year, and There are 6,000 escalator injuries annually, in the U.S. alone. At a more personal level, having the ability to teleport can help Dad get to his...

Mommy Moments: Mother's Day 2010

At first, I wanted to skip this week's MM because the theme was Mother's Day and I really don't have much to share about that day.  I started that day (it was actually 'night' because we were all still awake during the wee hours of the morning) with a hug, a kiss, and a greeting from hubby... The End...  Actually, I was a bit sad that day since I wasn't able to visit my Mom and give her something. I just called her up to greet her and to tell her that I love her. That's it. I also didn't receive a card or a flower from hubby **sigh** and my babies are... well, babies, so they couldn't possibly come up with a card. However, I really appreciate all the bloggers, online friends, and "offline friends" :) who extended their greetings to me. I really felt remembered with all the FB photo tagging, wall posts, and mails. Before I started making this post, I read Mommy Chris' MM entry and she noted that we should write about why this year...
