They May Say I'm Not But I Know I'm Blessed

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. (by Johnson Oatman, Jr.) It is not surprising that a lot of people see my life as a mess and me as a disappointment. I have to earn for three kids. We are financially-challenged. I look older than my real age now. I can't get a full time job at an office because I'm nannying my babies... and whenever I talk to a relative, it shows that some of them are really not pleased with what I have and where I am. I've heard nasty comments, "You-should-have"s, and "If-you-didn't"s. At times, I get disappointed too.. especially when people label me as "Sayang". But the truth is - all of these doesn't really matter because what matters most is that I'm thankful for what I have. Sure, I miss what I've lost but HONESTLY, I HAVE NEVER BEEN AS...

Mommy Moments: Cars and Kids

This week's theme is 'Cars and Kids'. Unfortunately, we don't have a car... and we need it much, considering that we're already five now :) Anyway, I know for sure that Yana loves riding in a car. When we rented cars/vans for my prenatal check-ups before, Yana enjoyed the rides so much. During day rides, expect to see her well-behaved on her seat and staring at the windows... but come night time, prepare yourself for she will really try to stand on her seat and stick her face against the mirror (though I keep on pulling her back) :) Though she's a girl, hubby still bought a toy car for her and she liked it as well. On another note mommies, I'd like to share some pictures of the twins to you... Ysha and Yza are already a month old now :) Elyza Venice Elysha Velika And Mommies, I'm asking for your support again... Please drop by and comment on my entry for another blog contest I joined. Please click HERE . Thanks! :)

If I were super...

I read Kaythrine's post (MySimpleLife) on the powers she wanted to have if she were super mom and I found the topic very interesting so I'm posting a list o f the five mighty mommy powers I wish I had too :) First off, I'd like to be super strong so I can lift everything and anything. This way, I can go about my mommy duties and other household chores without needi ng the help of someone stronger than me. I bet I can also lift the twins at the same time and probably carry my eldest on my back :) Then, I'd like to have super speed. If I were as fast as Sonic, I'd be able to do a lot of things in my limited 24hours of daily living. I'd be able to finish household chores in an inst ant and I'll have more time to play with the kids and blog. I'd be able to type faster and read faster, and join more contests! haha! Telekinesis is another very nice power especially for mommies. Imagine, each time yza and ysha's diaper get's soiled, I can lift them bot...

Mommy Moments: Song From a Mom's Heart

The sleepy heads which are fond of my lullabyes Among the songs which best describes what I feel for my kids are Slipping Through My Fingers and Not While I'm Around I first heard Slipping Through My Fingers as part of the movie Mama Mia and I cried. Here are some of the lines which best express my feelings for my kids... "Slipping through my fingers all the time I try to capture every minute The feeling in it Slipping through my fingers all the time Do I really see what's in her mind Each time I think I'm close to knowing She keeps on growing Slipping through my fingers all the time Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture And save it from the funny tricks of time Slipping through my fingers..." As for Not While I'm around, I first heard it when I watched the play Miss Saigon (Not that of Lea's, just a school rendition). I loved it even more when it was sang as part of the Johnny Depp Movie. As with the first song, here are some lines I like... ...
