My Biggest Wins :)

I started joining online contests 3rd week of November last year and up to date, I've won myself a lot of cool prizes - from gcs to an iPod Touch :) yehey! Among my most cherished prizes are as follows...

My Samsung ST550
I won my precious cam from an FB raffle promo of Samsung Tap and Take. I was one of the 25 lucky winners of their 3rd mission. I had to a lot of slideshows - about fifty - just to increase my chances of winning. Fortunatey, I got lucky. :) I haven't made a proper review of ST550 but I have to tell you that the cam really rocks. Making self portraits has finally become an easy task because of its dual LCD feature. I also like the face detection as well as quick photo editing features... and oh, the wide touch screen makes everything about picture addictivity easier.

My iPod Touch
And now, my latest win - a 32gb iPod Touch from Minute Maid and PinoyFood.Nimrodel.Net. I won their "Minute Maid Closer to Nature" Blog Contest.

My tea and PhP 15,000
I haven't received these prizes yet but I hope I get them soon. For one, I will no longer have to spend on my tea addictivity. Also, I need the money. I won these from being the 2nd placer in Nuffnang's and Real Leaf's Paparazz-Tea blog contest.

Now, I'm joining another contest from E-Games and Nuffnang. It's Life in Taborea: The World of Runes of Magic blog contest and the prizes are amazing. Please check it out and post comments here.

Wow, Ms. Ellen, you're really lucky in joining blog contests! I had a bad experience in contests. I won third place in David Shaw Blog but I didn't receive the prize, worst of all, the blog was a big scam. But God is good, I also made it in Real Leaf. That's why I started joining contests again.

@Karen! :) Thanks. It's probably because of my kids. :) I've read about that Shaw blog. tsktsk. We really should be careful in joining contests as there are thousands of scammers out there. Fortunately, nuffnang's not :) Congrats for winning too.:) Did u receive your prize na?

Real Leaf Paparazzi

I have never been a fan of sodas. Nor did I ever engage in a one-night spree with beer or vodka. Instead, I have always loved ice-cold tea. Drinking tea is a habit I’ve developed since I was in college and my ‘tea-addictivity’ has never wavered since. I’ve patiently put up with teabags for years but fortunately, bottled-up teas are now available and distributed in heaps. These days, I’m much fond of Nestea’s Real Leaf Tea and I share this fondness with my two closest “allies” – my partner in life and my younger brother. W hat follows is our one big atte mpt to encourage more people to engage in our quest for a Real Life with Coca Cola’s Real Le af tea (and of course, an attempt to get a prize from Nuffnang's exciting contest- Real Leaf Paparazzi!)… This is the typical “Juan” trying to have a Real Life. With the help of the Real Leaf tea, my brother 'John' tries to stay 100% on. He tries to relieve the exhaustion, stress, and anxiety brought by… (a) a hard day’s work as a n...

Project ALL-TIME: The iPop

The All-Time Dilemma Tardiness. Delays. Lost opportunities. I'm pretty sure everybody has experienced these things just by not being at the right place at the right time. Such wouldn't happen if we can teleport. If we could just pop out anywhere we want to, then we wouldn't miss out on important events just because of congested roads and punctuality issues of public transportation. We can go wherever we want without worrying about flight reservations, car maintenance, and sky-high transportation fares. Moreover, we will no longer be bothered by the fact that... A pedestrian is injured in a traffic accident every eight minutes, An estimated 1.3 million people die on our roads each year, About 1,600 aviation accidents causing about 600 deaths happen yearly, About 10, 200 people get injured inside elevators every year, and There are 6,000 escalator injuries annually, in the U.S. alone. At a more personal level, having the ability to teleport can help Dad get to his...

Mommy Moments: Mother's Day 2010

At first, I wanted to skip this week's MM because the theme was Mother's Day and I really don't have much to share about that day.  I started that day (it was actually 'night' because we were all still awake during the wee hours of the morning) with a hug, a kiss, and a greeting from hubby... The End...  Actually, I was a bit sad that day since I wasn't able to visit my Mom and give her something. I just called her up to greet her and to tell her that I love her. That's it. I also didn't receive a card or a flower from hubby **sigh** and my babies are... well, babies, so they couldn't possibly come up with a card. However, I really appreciate all the bloggers, online friends, and "offline friends" :) who extended their greetings to me. I really felt remembered with all the FB photo tagging, wall posts, and mails. Before I started making this post, I read Mommy Chris' MM entry and she noted that we should write about why this year...
