WANTED: SPONSORS for My 'Breaking Free' Contest

Before Bloggityboop, I have already tried starting several blogs but I failed. What usually happened was that I was inspired to write one day - or for a week, and then suddenly, I would lose my interest to maintain it. That didn't happen with Bloggityboop because it opened a whole new world of opportunities for me.

Ok, I have to admit that the craze started with all the freebies I won... but eventually, I saw my blog as an opportunity to break free. It gave me the chance to dwell away from my usual routine, publish and share my thoughts and emotions, offer relevant info to others (relevant to me at least), be more in touch with myself, explore my creativity, and make friends - friends I've never actually met - but friends still. I think blogging is actually a very liberating experience... that it's not just an activity that bored people engage in but an actual culture developed by and contributing to the creation of a global village.

For those reasons - and because of the fact that I've been very blessed as a blogger, I'm hosting my first ever blog contest this June. If things go as planned, the contest will start June 12 - yup, Independence day, and then it will last for a month, ending on my 25th birthday on July 13. I would like the theme to be 'Emancipation'. You would be asked to share any experience that made you feel free. It can be as serious as freedom from an unfruitful relationship or breaking free from a stagnant and boring job, to just being free from assignments and exams since you've just graduated.

As such, I am in need of SPONSORS - bloggers and non-bloggers are welcome. You can offer any prize like software licenses, books, gadgets, Entrecard credits, gift checks, PayPal cash, Advertisement spaces, web hosting, blog reviews, ANYTHING!... and in return, you'll get linked as sponsors on the blogs of all the contestants. On top that, I will give you ad spaces on my blog and your links will be included in a special blog list that will last for 3 months. Major Sponsors will also get a review or advertorial from me. If you may have any requests/suggestions, please feel free to pitch it in. Deadline for pledges is on June 9. Just leave your name/site and email address here so I can send you the form. Thank you so much in advance! :D

Real Leaf Paparazzi

I have never been a fan of sodas. Nor did I ever engage in a one-night spree with beer or vodka. Instead, I have always loved ice-cold tea. Drinking tea is a habit I’ve developed since I was in college and my ‘tea-addictivity’ has never wavered since. I’ve patiently put up with teabags for years but fortunately, bottled-up teas are now available and distributed in heaps. These days, I’m much fond of Nestea’s Real Leaf Tea and I share this fondness with my two closest “allies” – my partner in life and my younger brother. W hat follows is our one big atte mpt to encourage more people to engage in our quest for a Real Life with Coca Cola’s Real Le af tea (and of course, an attempt to get a prize from Nuffnang's exciting contest- Real Leaf Paparazzi!)… This is the typical “Juan” trying to have a Real Life. With the help of the Real Leaf tea, my brother 'John' tries to stay 100% on. He tries to relieve the exhaustion, stress, and anxiety brought by… (a) a hard day’s work as a n...

Project ALL-TIME: The iPop

The All-Time Dilemma Tardiness. Delays. Lost opportunities. I'm pretty sure everybody has experienced these things just by not being at the right place at the right time. Such wouldn't happen if we can teleport. If we could just pop out anywhere we want to, then we wouldn't miss out on important events just because of congested roads and punctuality issues of public transportation. We can go wherever we want without worrying about flight reservations, car maintenance, and sky-high transportation fares. Moreover, we will no longer be bothered by the fact that... A pedestrian is injured in a traffic accident every eight minutes, An estimated 1.3 million people die on our roads each year, About 1,600 aviation accidents causing about 600 deaths happen yearly, About 10, 200 people get injured inside elevators every year, and There are 6,000 escalator injuries annually, in the U.S. alone. At a more personal level, having the ability to teleport can help Dad get to his...

Mommy Moments: Mother's Day 2010

At first, I wanted to skip this week's MM because the theme was Mother's Day and I really don't have much to share about that day.  I started that day (it was actually 'night' because we were all still awake during the wee hours of the morning) with a hug, a kiss, and a greeting from hubby... The End...  Actually, I was a bit sad that day since I wasn't able to visit my Mom and give her something. I just called her up to greet her and to tell her that I love her. That's it. I also didn't receive a card or a flower from hubby **sigh** and my babies are... well, babies, so they couldn't possibly come up with a card. However, I really appreciate all the bloggers, online friends, and "offline friends" :) who extended their greetings to me. I really felt remembered with all the FB photo tagging, wall posts, and mails. Before I started making this post, I read Mommy Chris' MM entry and she noted that we should write about why this year...
