Sometimes I wish I had the power to instantly change the world for the better... so that every street kid would instantly have a happy meal, the homeless and informal settlers would have permanent, legal homes, public school kids would have plenty of books and chairs, rebels hiding in the mountains would be united with their families, drivers would stop drinking or texting while driving, smokers would just quit smoking, alcoholics would just drink tea instead, no one can do abortion, and there would be free food and medicine for the needy... but then, I wake myself up and I know that those things are quite impossible to instantly happen... This is My Yana when she was a few days old... Now, here are the twins when they were just two days old... Now they are eight days old! :) Here's my Isha (Elisha Velika)... and here's my Ysa (Elyza Veronic a) ... and here's a pic of them, side by side... :) I hope I can be the best mommy for the three of them...

A month ago, we were planning a party for my baby's 1st birthday... Unfortunately, due to unanticipated events (tons of lab-tests, check-ups, etc. expenses due to signs of premature labor and severe UTI plus early bed rest), we had to cancel the plans... and resort to a small celebration with neighbors and my brother. To tell you the truth, I'm quite disappointed. I feel much like an irresponsible parent who should-have, could-have done a lot better than this. I have a lot of should-haves and I blame myself. All firsts - especially birthdays- should be celebrated with a bang and I feel so sorry for my little girl. She deserves much more than this. But then, I learned my lesson well. I will make it up to her as soon as we recover from the CS delivery and other expenses this February. I'm so sorry my baby... Nanay loves you sooo much. Happy Birthday. Mwah! yana, chasing after her balloons... yana, wanting soda (which is of course, not for her)... after she had spaghetti and...

You just cannot blame a mom for being obsessed with her baby... especially when her baby is as cute and adorable as my bubbly Yana :) hehe

See how my baby walks... My darling daughter is sooo makulit. She just started walking (well, the official date for that is Dec 02, 09 @ 10 months but I didn't have a cam then) and she's exploring the whole house as much as she can. Whenever she sees that the door to the motor shop is open, she tries to rush off and sneak out. I find it hard to run after her as my tummy is overly large now. I just yell "No" but she just looks at me with a naughty smile and then goes on wit h her mischievous deed without heed to what I'm telling her. Annoying but adorable really :) I'm so so proud of her... not only every time she takes her awkward balancing acts but especially when she stands up each time she takes the wrong step and falls. When she first attempted to walk on her own, I did try to stop her, simply because I knew that there was a possibility that she'll get hurt. However, I also knew that if I didn't let go, then she would never learn how to walk at all...

My mom is the most amazing mom any daughter could wish for. I don’t tell her much often but I really love her so much… and I am also so proud of her. I admire her for waking up early in the morning and sleeping early – always with a smile. I admire her for being so strong despite the many problems we’ve had in the past. I admire her for her ability to stay calm and composed even when everybody around her is going nuts. I admire her for her righteousness and her persistence to teach us the value of hard work and diligence. I admire her for her strong will to keep our family together and her capacity to forgive. I admire her for inspiring other people. I admire her for bringing me up and teaching me the mechanics of what it means to be a woman.
