Mommy Moments: Mother's Day 2010

At first, I wanted to skip this week's MM because the theme was Mother's Day and I really don't have much to share about that day.  I started that day (it was actually 'night' because we were all still awake during the wee hours of the morning) with a hug, a kiss, and a greeting from hubby... The End...  Actually, I was a bit sad that day since I wasn't able to visit my Mom and give her something. I just called her up to greet her and to tell her that I love her. That's it. I also didn't receive a card or a flower from hubby **sigh** and my babies are... well, babies, so they couldn't possibly come up with a card. However, I really appreciate all the bloggers, online friends, and "offline friends" :) who extended their greetings to me. I really felt remembered with all the FB photo tagging, wall posts, and mails. Before I started making this post, I read Mommy Chris' MM entry and she noted that we should write about why this year...

Mommy Moments: BLUE

The Crib is blue. So is the stroller. So is the carrier. So are some feeding bottles, hooded blankets and towels, onesies, shorts, shirts. even the baby bag is blue. So many blue stuff for a household full of baby girls. haha :)

My Tres Marias

Finally, a pic of us four :)

Mommy Moments: RED

The theme of Mommy Moments for this week is RED. Unfortunately, the kids don't have lots of red stuff... In fact, the twins do not own red things..only yana has a red shirt plus 2 pairs of red shoes (I posted the pic of the other pair during the 'shoes' theme before)... Another pic, close-up :) (I'm loving Mommy Moments!) Ellana Victoria  (that's how it was spelled in her birth certificate :( though I wanted to stick with the "Eliana") Although Ysha and Yza don't have red dresses, they have lots of pink stuff and I have to sneak in some of their latest pics here :) They're growing soooo fast! Look at how big they are now at two months considering that they were only 6 pounds each when they were born! Elisha Velika Elyza Venize

Family and The Room That's Messy

We still don't have a yaya and it's tough caring for Yza, Ysha, and Yana all at the same time. That's why I don't have that much time to blog anymore and most of the time (for as long as yana is awake), the house/room is always in a mess... super mess! but despite all the messes and the stresses, here is our family, still smiling, still happy :)

Mommy Moments: Shoes

This is Yana's first pair of shoes.. which is now not a pair anymore because we lost the other shoe when we bought her a new pair. The two pairs below are the ones she wears most often...(We haven't bought Yza and Ysha their shoes yet coz they still have a bunch of pretty shoe-socks)

Who's who? Ysha and Yza

I'm blessed with twins :) and 3 days from now, they will be 2 months old. I feel like they're growing so fast and I'm amazed by everything that makes them alike in many ways. However, I'm more interested in things that make them different from each other. My Ysha (Elisha Velika) Ysha is "Baby A" (as noted by the surgeon who conducted the CS operation). When she was born, she was very red - not pinkish but really reddish and I was so worried. They conducted a series of blood tests and other tests on her and after days of anxiety, they told me that she was indeed as healthy as her twin sister. Ysha was the baby whom the US technician wrongly predicted to be a boy. She's slightly smaller (lighter) than Yza when she was born. Up to now, Yza is still bigger than her and the reason is obvious - Ysha is so active and she doesn't drink as much milk as Yza does. Ysha loves breast milk more than bottled milk. I think she'll be a morena when she gets older. A...

Mommy Moments: Moving Up

This week's theme is Moving Up so let me enumerate some of the things that the girls have achieved in the past few weeks... Yza and Ysha They were born Feb 12 and now, they are almost two months. Their weights have doubled though Yza is slightly heavier and bigger than Ysha. Both of them can see now but I don't know if they only see our silhouette or they can clearly see us already. Also, both of them are starting to do 'humming' like sounds. Yana My eldest is now a year old plus two months. She started walking when she was ten months old and now she's running - fast. I can't even outrun her now (I'm still having a difficult time balancing and walking after my pregnancy.. haaay). She's also jumping now and she has learned how to open and close the fridge, and turn on the TV. Yana also dances better now.. sometimes with both hands raised as she keeps turning round and round. She enjoys watching "So you think you can dance" and she's trying t...

My First Pixel Bug Weekend :)

Sassy Mom invited me to Pixel Bug Weekend. It's a weekly meme posted every Monday showing the highlight of your weekend through photos :) (Thanks for the invite :) ) This is my first post... Last Friday (March 26), my eldest turned 1 year old, 2 months and the twins turned 1 month, 2 weeks. It's not really so special but then, I just found delight on the idea that there were 1-2 combinations with their ages :) Also, my baby yana is starting to recognize the value of 'picture-taking'. She's learning how to pose for photos and I took that opportunity to take lots and lots of pictures of her last Saturday. What else? hmmm. oh.. Hubby bought me a new shirt as his late monthsary gift for me (23 is The Date). Love you mine! :) and we spent Sunday eating lots and lots of chocolate ice cream! :)

Online Contests and Princesses

I haven't posted anything for a week because I was sooo busy. Busy with what? Well, with the kids, and online contests. I have joined several that I can no longer remember them. BUT, I remember those wherein I need to campaign for votes. There's this EYEKA contest ( click THIS to vote ) and the Gap Adventure Contest ( click THIS to vote ). I also joined Nuffnang's (with E-Games) Life in Taborea blogging contest plus Powerbook's Summer Reading List promo. I also joined several raffle-based giveaways for an iPad like that of John Chow, Susan Nichole, and LoseWeightNow. I hope I'd win something (keeping my fingers crossed). Apart from the contests however, I am also busy with the kids lately. Yana is, as always, super adorable, super pretty - and super NAUGHTY. She's becoming very talkative now though I can't understand most of what she's babbling. These are the words she knows na: "Nanay", "Tatay", "Babies", Cat", "...
