Family and The Room That's Messy

We still don't have a yaya and it's tough caring for Yza, Ysha, and Yana all at the same time. That's why I don't have that much time to blog anymore and most of the time (for as long as yana is awake), the house/room is always in a mess... super mess! but despite all the messes and the stresses, here is our family, still smiling, still happy :)

One Tagaytay, The Right Place

I live in Las Pinas and Tagaytay is just about an hour away from us. The irony however is that though Tagaytay is a prime travel destination, I’ve been there only once and I didn’t even have much fun during that first T trip (was still very pregnant then..)… and so, I promised myself that the next time I go there, I should – and I will – have a great time with my family. Since it’s almost summer, I’m thinking… Should I take that next super fun Tagaytay trip next month? If I would, I want it to be an ultimate intimate bonding experience for our family. I know the must-visit places - Picnic Grove, People’s Park in the Sky, Taal Volcano, etc… but I haven’t decided on where we should stay. Fortunately, I stumbled upon a site which features One Tagaytay and I think this place is THE RIGHT PLACE that I was looking for. One Tagaytay simply stands out from the rest of the pack because it’s not overstated. It is not too prolific. It’s not too overwhelmingly and insignificantly extravagan...

Mommy Moments: Our Love Language :)

We have a very interesting topic in Mommy Moments this Friday and I almost missed it. Fortunately, I was able to get up early today so here it is. Chris says that there are five basic love languages that we use – Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Physical Touch, Gifts, and Acts of Service. In my case, I think I often use Physical Touch and Acts of Service. Though I often tell my loved ones that I love them and I also write them love letters which they really do appreciate, I think I’m not that good at giving them everyday compliments about their accomplishments or just about anything good they’ve done for the day so definitely, I’m not much into using Words of Affirmation. As for the Quality Time, I guess my schedule is so cramped up that I am not able to spend ample time with my family – except of course for my little Yana. She’ s my priority. I am also not into gift-giving much… except on birthdays and Christmases when I give elaborate greeting cards and specialized gifts. I...

Mommy Moments: Welcoming MY TWINS :)

In just a few weeks (probably less than 3), we will be welcoming the twins - a boy and a girl. The target date is to reach my 38th week which is Feb 20. I hope I can make it through and successfully reach that target though I'm also a bit delighted by the idea of my twins being born a bit earlier - perhaps Feb 14 :) (but if that will cause them harm - in any way whatsoever, then away with you v-day bday thoughts!) Anyway, my eldest - my lovely bubbly Yana - just turned one two days ago and I am really not sure how she would welcome the twins. I just hope she'd be able to manage it. Right now, I know that she's quite protective of - and very much connected to - me. I can still remember how scared she was and how loudly she cried when my ob placed a doppler on my tummy and she heard the heartbeats. She might have assumed that the doctor was hurting me somehow so she started crying and she tried to pull my ob away from me. At night (or should I say early morning), she won'...

Steps and Milestones...

See how my baby walks... My darling daughter is sooo makulit. She just started walking (well, the official date for that is Dec 02, 09 @ 10 months but I didn't have a cam then) and she's exploring the whole house as much as she can. Whenever she sees that the door to the motor shop is open, she tries to rush off and sneak out. I find it hard to run after her as my tummy is overly large now. I just yell "No" but she just looks at me with a naughty smile and then goes on wit h her mischievous deed without heed to what I'm telling her. Annoying but adorable really :) I'm so so proud of her... not only every time she takes her awkward balancing acts but especially when she stands up each time she takes the wrong step and falls. When she first attempted to walk on her own, I did try to stop her, simply because I knew that there was a possibility that she'll get hurt. However, I also knew that if I didn't let go, then she would never learn how to walk at all...

Goodbye 2009...

2009 has been such a good year for me. Though the start of the year was not that good (we had a dozen financial problems... Mine had no job and I gave birth to our baby which meant that I had to stop working for a few weeks --- no work--no pay), 2009 was quite a blast for me in general... and here are some reasons why... My Yana was born... I'm pregnant with twins... a boy (Santiago Rafael) and a girl (Elisha Velika) My hubby is sooo hardworking and he loves us so much... My family has forgiven me na... and they still love me.. and my daughter too! I have a great job and we now have this small business... Thank you Lord for all the blessings you've provided us with... Hope 2010 will even be better :) (My New Year's wish: Sana healthy ang twins)

Trip to Tagaytay

Yes, I barely can walk but still yes, I did go to Tagaytay. To tell you the truth. I really didn't enjoy much because of my condition. I was having a hard time taking my steps... and to add to that, I wasn't really all comfortable with the idea of going on a trip with the neighbors (they were close to my husband, not to me)... I am simply not that kind of person who can get along with other people I've never talked to before - not in an instant! Anyway, here are some pictures...

Most Memorable Xmas 2008

Me with my two sisters... My tummy (with baby yana inside :) ) plus my two brothers my very pretty sisters again :) My most memorable Xmas was last year’s (2008). I was pregnant with my first daughter by then and it was the only time that I saw my family again (after 6 months – that’s the longest time I’ve been away from my family since birth) after I learned that I was going to be a mom and decided to leave home. There wasn’t much food to share, just the usual holiday ser ving s of ham, spaghetti , and a few pastries but I was most happy... perhaps I could even say that it was the happiest Xmas ever. Why? because on top of the fact that I'm awaiting the birth of my d arling daughter, that was the day I earned my family’s forgiveness and my mom’s reassuring hug :) Updates... Here's a vid of her 4D ultrasound before just days b efore xmas 2008 (the thought of her made 2008 Xmas super special!): And now (2009), here she is... having fun with her very first Christmas ... I sure h...
