About 16 hours ago, I was ranting about my wish to have my own domains for my blogs. I figured that I should wait for the main domain giveaways contests which I joined before I decide to buy one...  But alas, the stubborn Ellen couldn't wait and so, I bought web hosting services from Mommy Rubz through Mom's Hosting ... and I also bought a domain name - www.mommysinfodose.info from Godaddy through her. Guess how much I had to pay? Just $13 :) (a dollar for one year of INFO domain name registration for GODaddy, and then $12 for a year of hosting from Mom's Hosting - YES, a dollar every month :D ). I look older than my real age now. I can't get a full time job at an office because I'm nannying my babies... and whenever I talk to a relative, it shows that some of them are really not pleased with what I have and where I am. I've heard nasty comments, "You-should-have"s, and "If-you-didn't"s. At times, I get disappointed too.. especially when people label me as "Sayang". But the truth is - all of these doesn't really matter because what matters most is that I'm thankful for what I have. Sure, I miss what I've lost but HONESTLY, I HAVE NEVER BEEN AS...

I haven't got a lot of time to blog these days so I'm making this post real quick. I just dropped by to say that I love iGoogle! It's really nice that Google lets you personalize your homepage so you can track and update all of your net activities all at the same time. In my case, I've added Twitter, Facebook, and Gmail on my homepage. I've also added my To-Do list, GMA news, weather, and calendar gadgets to stay a bit updated with my tasks and whatever's going on now.  And oh, aside from giving you the chance to pick out the gadgets that will go on your home page, you can also personalize your homepage theme like I did. iGoogle is very useful to me since I won't have to open my sns accounts one-by-one every time I go online. It's like a screen space saver and sns slash news slash websites collaborator :) 

At first, I wanted to skip this week's MM because the theme was Mother's Day and I really don't have much to share about that day.  I started that day (it was actually 'night' because we were all still awake during the wee hours of the morning) with a hug, a kiss, and a greeting from hubby... The End...  Actually, I was a bit sad that day since I wasn't able to visit my Mom and give her something. I just called her up to greet her and to tell her that I love her. That's it. I also didn't receive a card or a flower from hubby **sigh** and my babies are... well, babies, so they couldn't possibly come up with a card. However, I really appreciate all the bloggers, online friends, and "offline friends" :) who extended their greetings to me. I really felt remembered with all the FB photo tagging, wall posts, and mails. Before I started making this post, I read Mommy Chris' MM entry and she noted that we should write about why this year...

Stretch marks are caused by damaged dermis - these are tears and scars on the layers of the skin. Sadly, I belong to the 80% of women who gained these unwanted marks during pregnancy - apart from the additional 60 pounds (now just 15).  At times, I look at my tummy and it seems that it's not really part of my body - it's like a pile of crumpled skin pasted on me (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating - a bit). But the point is - It's really ugly. My body has grown thin but my tummy has retained the bulge - or rather the excess stretched-skin with some fat. That is why some people mistake me still as 2 months pregnant. hay...  Anyway, I'm glad Entrepremom has this Love Thyself promo. My fave summer activity is to go on out-of-town trips...  When I was still single, I was fond of moving around. I was a wanderer. I wanted to be on the road - all the time. In fact, I made it a point to be on the road once every week. I couldn't care less where I was going. What mattered to me was that I was 'traveling'.  I often visited Antipolo, Batangas, Laguna, Olongapo, and most of all - Baguio. Most of the time, I go alone - just to relax and explore. This is for my mom. It's a mash up of mommy messages which best express how happy I am to have my mom - and how much I miss her. Before Bloggityboop, I have already tried starting several blogs but I failed. What usually happened was that I was inspired to write one day - or for a week, and then suddenly, I would lose my interest to maintain it. That didn't happen with Bloggityboop because it opened a whole new world of opportunities for me. Ok, I have to admit that the craze started with all the freebies I won... but eventually, I saw my blog as an opportunity to break free. It gave me the chance to dwell away from my usual routine, publish and share my thoughts and emotions, offer relevant info to others (relevant to me at least), be more in touch with myself, explore my creativity, and make friends - friends I've never actually met - but friends still. I think blogging is actually a very liberating experience... that it's not just an activity that bored people engage in but an actual culture developed by and contributing to the creation of a global village. Based on Alexa.com , Blogger.com ranks 6th, Multiply ranks 10th, and Wordpress ranks 11th among the top sites that Filipinos visit. This must only mean one thing - that the number of bloggers and those interested in blogs already make up a significant part of the Philippine population who surf the internet.
